Mustard Seeds

Mustard seeds are the small yellow round seeds of the white mustard plant that is harvested at maturity.  The seeds can be ground into a spice or used whole and add a pungent flavour to dishes.  Mustard seeds form the base of the famous condiments Meaux, Dijon and Bordeaux  and can be mixed with honey to make a marinade for meats.  They are also often found in pickles and chutneys and can be roasted and added to  potato and vegetable dishes to give depth and flavour.
