Cayenne Powder

Cayenne powder comes from the Cayenne pepper which is a thin chilli pepper related to the bell pepper and jalapeno.  Much hotter than paprika, a small amount is required to spice up any dish.  Cayenne is frequently found in  South American dishes, Creole cooking and Asian and Indian recipes.  Cayenne powder can be sprinkled on pizzas and is also served as an alternative table condiment to pepper.
