Cardamom Pods

The Cardamom pod is a small capsule with 8 to 16 brown seeds.  Both the whole pods and the seeds are used as a spice in cooking; the seeds are typically toasted and ground before adding to a recipe.  Cardamom has a wonderful aroma and an enticing warm, spicy-sweet flavour that enhances savoury and sweet dishes – from Swedish Cinnamon buns to Indian Biryanis.
